Roadhouse OR Freedom ??? 2 Years, 4 Months ago
I haven`t seen this asked or answered and was wanting to know from the guys that have these pipes.
I am considering these pipes on my 08 silverado, Man I dont see that there is enough clearance for the exhaust to go out to the other side, but obviously it does. My question is, do you experience high heat problems from being to close to anything where the pipe goes thru to the other side? Thanks David

Don't know about the roadhouse or freedom, but i have hackers on my '03 roadstar which is also a tru dual exhaust. I won't wear shorts when riding simply because I know the elbow which sticks out on the left and right side is there but I have to say that when riding in jeans I really don't feel any extreme heat near my legs.

I often wear shorts when I ride and the right thigh can feel like a baked potato at lights!! But it's not bad enough to stop me. The Doolies are the best sounding pipes I've heard,IMO. Plus I like the larger diameter mufflers better than the Freedoms.

I have the Road House with the standard baffle, quiet enough for in town riding, and a nice bark when you get on them too. They also make a quiet baffle and a performance baffle. As far as heat, if your carb is tuned correctly there won't be any issues.
