Hey man, did you get that ankle looked at? I turned mine a couple years ago, hurt like hell, continued to hurt and swell up. Finally after much nagging by my lovely wife......went to the doc and found out it was broken. They gave me crutches but after about 1 minute with those I put em down and kept walking on it. Doc said walking on it wouldn't hurt the type of break I had so other than the pain I was good to go. It only hurt for about 6-8 months.

Glad to hear you guys are okay! Been there...the best thing for the bruised ego is more time in the saddle! Get 'er back on the road ASAP!

As soon as the weather gets better, I'm gonna do just that! Got her all fixed up last night, except for the scraped bottom of the pipes and the one fender ding that needs hammering. But I'm not worried about picture perfect right now...heck, you really have to look to see those two things. She's still a beaut!

Roadie--

Nah, haven't done doctor...yet. It's getting a little better each day and I move it around pretty well. If it doesn't continue to get better, I'll get it looked at though. Hey, Doc...you do house calls for beer?

Ya GOTTA be discirminating, or else you can really damage yourself. If you were to, say, drink one of your favorite smooth beers (my personal faves are Fat Tire Ale and Kiltlifter Ale), and then suddenly assaulted your tastebuds with a Carling's Black Label or a Meister Brau, man...we're talking years of therapy to get over that experience...

Sounds like we need a favorite beer thread.

I like the English ales. Heaveier, fullbodies, sweeter ones.

Didn't know Carling still made beer.

ah! the joys of beer from blighty!

the beer here ain´t too bad (i´m sitting 3kms from a brewery) and runs out at about 5.5%. normally served in glasses from the freezer, on a summer evening, it´s wonderful.

if ya get the chance, try some of the trappist beers from belgium. some of them run out at up to 11% .

they make you fall over

Ah...methinks you're referring to the likes of Chimay Ale, made by the Trappist monks of Belgium...comes in 3 varieties: blonde (white label), dark (blue label) and the standard ale (red label). We used to call it "getting Chimayed". You just have to respect a brew with a label that warns you of the pouring angle to avoid sediment and a bottle that's sealed with REAL cork & wire.

And for the record, the dark ale is unbeatable with a nice, thick steak...
