Mine has seen 4 seasons of Ohio weather, i can count on one hand how many times I have took a water hose to it total in 32K miles, No pitting, no rust, I do clean it and wax it with regular stuff, I use Turtle Wax Ice the most. I think just keep it waxed. Ice wax is best, easy off and on no white chalk so no worry, put it on wipe it off goes on anything. Ice can be sprayed and left on the heads, it will not chalk up or burn. Looks like a new head. Protects, Also Ice can be squirted into the cracks and left for protection. Search Turtle Wax Ice Polish, As good as it is the Ice Liquid Clay sucks. Ice can be used on anything, wiped off or left on, rubber, metal, paint, chrome, plastic, leather, I have found nothing it won't go on harmlessly. Try it yourself.
