Re:is it me 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Mine has seen 4 seasons of Ohio weather, i can count on one hand how many times I have took a water hose to it total in 32K miles, No pitting, no rust, I do clean it and wax it with regular stuff, I use Turtle Wax Ice the most. I've seen some really nasty Ohio weather, snow with salt and too cold to wash for days, you get the picture? And no one would know it to look at it. 07 Chrome is right on on this midnight! Stored in Shop, not temp controlled and driven to work and stored outside 2 - 3 days under a yami Cover.

Gee I guess I better explain, this is pic of front tire and fork, what you see is Ice on bike after about 65 miles of snow, ice, salty mix is plastered to the bike, Had to let it melt off over three days. If that didn't pit it, what will? Yes I rode through that, Not too many people can follow me. And sometimes I wish I wasn't there myself I get caught in it every winter. Never planned. Just quick Ohio Lake effect snow storms.

I think just keep it waxed. Ice wax is best, easy off and on no white chalk so no worry, put it on wipe it off goes on anything. Ice can be sprayed and left on the heads, it will not chalk up or burn. Looks like a new head. Protects, Also Ice can be squirted into the cracks and left for protection. Search Turtle Wax Ice Polish, As good as it is the Ice Liquid Clay sucks. Ice can be used on anything, wiped off or left on, rubber, metal, paint, chrome, plastic, leather, I have found nothing it won't go on harmlessly. Try it yourself.
