The dealer or Yami

Some of you will remember last fall when I lost a chrome piece off my Silverasdo windshield. And how happy and surprised I was that they replaced it for free. I let the story end there but only because the rest is more of the same old crap.

Short rant coming up:
To set this rant up I had all the pieces(yes, pieces) sent to my home.

The piece I got started to flake so I went back and talked to the dealer. They ordered a new one and sent it to my home. It came, wrong side. Back to the dealer I go. They had ordered the wrong side. They re-ordered it. Came to my home. Different part # on the package. Same wrong side. Back to the dealer I go. They now have both wrong pieces setting there with differnt part numbers on them. I take the parts guy over to a Silverado sitting in the show room and point to the piece I need and tell him to get me that piece. The part comes to my home. It's the rubber piece that goes behind the chrome but no chrome piece. Back to the dealer I go. They re-re-re-order the piece and send it to my home. Same wrong side. Back to the dealer I go. They ordered the piece again but I told them to save me the trip and have it shipped there. I get a call that it's there and it's right. YES!!!! Go there today to pick it up and it's the rubber piece, no chrome. So they ordered it again.

Yes I could go to a different dealer but I'm going to make these dips--ts get it right. And I saw some of the part numbers they ordered and Yami shipped the wrong stuff so another dealer wouldn't have mattered.

OK. Not so short rant but this is why I don't trust Yami or dealers.

Maybe they only have the wrong side.

No more right sides available.

You could be right Maybe I should order the wrong side and see what I get. Maybe they'll send me a free motor.

It's an 06. They don't get sticky valves. And it's White. Sticky valves are too slow to catch up.

Hey Musky. I don't know who you are dealing with here in the Twin Cities but the guys up at Waldoch Sports in Forest Lake will treat you right. I know it's kind of a haul from where you live and their showroom isn't all flashy but they are a class act all the way. My dad dealt with them for years and years and I have since I got old enough to spend that kind of money on toys. I've got no complaints. Heck, when my pops passed John Waldoch came to the funeral.

Hey jso.

Hitching post. Don't ever, ever, go there for anything other than buying a bike. I've heard a lot of good things about Waldoch. I didn't think this simple part would be this much of an ordeal.

Nah, order motor. Install two motors, then when the rear cylinders on both gum up, the front cylinders will be working on both...you got yer v-twin!

Never mind. I never made this post. Seemed funnier at first.
