Those of you that have extended your floorboards, how did you get the bolts that hold the floorboard bracket to frame, broken loose?

Those may be the most frustrating bolts I have ever come across yet! I used PB Blaster and a rubber mallet to finally get mine broken loose. Never went the heat route, although it would been much quicker. Good Luck...

I used a torch about 20 seconds or so on each bolt and they came right out. That's RED Loctite holding them in.

Yep. Heat and a hand impact wrench did it for me. My bike has loctite everywhere. Even the bolts on the rear fender eyebrows were a b@#$% to get out. You'll get used to it. BOL

went to my dealer, he busted them past the tight point so I could get my pipes on, no charge. Then replaced them with hex heads.

sucks with no garage, no place to put all the tools and stuff, no place to work, now I'm past poor, so it don't matter. lol

Use care and good tools. No ball end hex keys for these babies. I have stripped out the heads twice and wound up drilling the heads off. Once the head is off the shaft will turn out with fingers. Try heat, it did not work for me, but has for many. When you put them back on do yourself a favor and get standard bolts to replace them. Sooner or later you will want to remove your boards again and once is enough with these bolts. There are numerous strings on this so check them for more detail on getting these buggers out.

What a pain in the butt that turned out to be. Yes cruiserbob I did strip the allen heads. Ended up using heat and a chisel and notched the head and slowly worked them loose. One came loose with only a allen wrench and a rachet. Would have taken me an hour longer if not for the easy one. Put hex heads back so next time will be easier.
I think they dip these bikes in red locktite before they paint them.
Anyone know the length of the brake line, my is really tight stretching it 3". Think I will have a new line made with an inch or two extra.

That brake line does look very tight

I don't think I did remove that one. I only removed two, so evidently there is another one. Does your brake line rest up against the transfer case cover after doing the floorboard extension?
