What needs to be done to mount the HD trunk on the Yamaha? Are there different HD trunks? I do like the look of them, especially with the speakers.

that looks like tysuku strong bags and the trunk may be theirs as well. I know they have leather covered bags

Darn I believe that the HD rear speakers mount flush with the trunk but I'm also sure that you will have to drill the holes. That's going to be my winter project

buckscent/Darn -

Take a look at my sigpic. I have the Scootworks trunk mounted with their mount. It was a bit pricey, but I'm not skilled enough to fabricate my own. I also have their passenger backrest/armrest. (It's simply a Maverick backrest made for HD's.) I got the luggage rack from them as well (and it, too, is a stock HD rack). I got my rear speakers from Hogtunes.

My seat is the Yamaha dual touring seat. It came straight from Corbin. I got the Corbin driver's backrest from e-bay.

... hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ride safe!

If you are sticking with leather bags go to Ebay and seach for "Leather Harley Tour Pack" they make it in a couple designs. I believe you can find it without the harley emblem on the outside. It's a good looking trunk. As far as mounting you just have to either mod your luggage rack or fab a new bracket.

Does anyone have experience with the Mutaza products? They look good and the prices are incredibly low.

Re:Need help finding a touring seat 2 Years, 7 Months ago
I am looking for something like this for my bike too. My worry is mounting. What sort of mounting brackets do I need? Are the holes universal? Will one bracket work with all trunks? Will the mounting bracket interfere with my soft bag brackets that mount on there? It's like $250 for the mounting brackets and $350 for the trunk, I'd hate to get the wrong ones, as that's not exactly petty cash to some of us.

Edit:
For reference here's a picture of the back:

Thanks again!

I guess I will wait and get everything (new trunk, backrest with armrest, new saddle bags) at once after I switch over to dual exhaust and a trailer hitch.

Oye so many projects! the bucket list is growing again! If anyone has any extra cash they don't need, let me know, I'll get rid of it for you!

I'm going to become a charity yet!
