Just read about a 2003 that lost 5 gear at speed. He sounds like he has done his homework. Delphi R* riders Read stated 9 others same deal and recall was done Just passing along info has been reported NTSA . If you had same problem please get in contact with this guy email in article. I have an 07 and I can't think of any difference in the trans, so I'm worried too.

FRom what I read so far It seems to be isolated to the 99-03 and for some reason to 03 and one reported 02. If you ask me if the 04-and up don't have a problem then they should have upgraded all the recalls. The reason I said the ranges it has been said they have the same parts.

I have an 03 Roadstar with only 8,000 miles on it and the other day I heard a clink,clink and 5th gear was gone. Have been on here trying to get some info.Dealer says the recall was already done on my bike.
