Craftsman Jack here, Works reaally well, the hydraulic cylinder has been specifically designed for a precision lift. I never thought that I would have confidence jacking up a 700# motorcycle, but this makes it easy. Even in includes a couple ratcheting tie down straps for added confidence and you can use them to tie down that refrigerator in the back of your truck...

Oh Yeah, there on sale this month.

I got one from Canadian Tire like the one from Sears. Does a great job, except for lowered bikes like my wife's V-Star. The rear has been lowered 2.5", and even my Roadie with a 1" shorter shock is borderline. I found an outrageously expensive solution; Rider Equipment (www.ridercyclelifts.com/home.html). Their 777C lift go as low as 2.75", perfect for bikes like mine with approx. 4.5" frame clearance. But as AC/DC sing:''Money talks...''

Sears also has one for $69 you can catch it on sale for $59. I have one also found the same one in our WalMart finally for $69. The are good jacks and are steel. I think a lot of the guys have them.

Hey jso that is the same jack as the Sears and the WalMart one.. Post edited by: Curt, at: 2007/04/14 22:41

That's the one I have and it works great...comes with straps to tie the bike down if you are wrenching on it...I just pump it up without the straps for general cleaning, etc.

I use a chicago hydraulics lift table, which I modified with a condor to keep the bike more stable when I work on it.

Looks like I'm a little late here but I just got the aluminum jack from Harbor Freight. I love it so far.

I've owned a bunch of bikes, but no bike jack. I have always used my trusty car jack and just took my time to raise the bike, so far, zero casualties(busy looking for some wood to knock on). My best friend JUST dropped his bike off his craftsman bike jack, but to be fair, he didn't have it strapped. They're nice, but not necessary.(That's what I keep telling myself).BB
