I don't know if anybody else has used this stuff with good results, but I tried cleaning my wheels with Turtle Wax Foaming wheel cleaner ( labeled as safe for all wheels). Should have said in big letters...except motorcycle spoked wheels. This crap has totally screwed up most of the spokes, and left tiny spots around the rim. Yes...I did follow the directions to a T. Should have stayed with my soft bristle brush and soap. Lesson learned. Don't use this crap on your wheels. Go ahead and spend the extra time with a soft bristle brush and soap.
First (and last) time in 35 years I ever tried wheel cleaner. Bad mistake.
I did the same damn thing too! Get a small Flitz buff-ball and Flitz polishing paste. The buffing-ball fits in your drill-motor and will get in between the spokes. I was able to restore my spokes like new with it!
