The last time the rear tire was changed was at 39K miles (summer of '08). The front was put on at 29K miles. Tires still show pretty good tread. I've never gotten this much miles from MC tires before. So that's about 12K on the rear and about 22K on the front. I hear some stories of people getting a lot of mileage out a set of those. How many miles have you all gotten on Mezler's? I don't want to change them too soon; if I can hold off another 1-3K more miles. You know, the sooner I replace them now is the sooner I replace the next set. I didn't see any cracking. I wouldn't change the tire as long as it still has tread left. Unless your planning a long ride of several thousand miles then ride it till you need it. If you find the marks and look out in the middle you will see about a half inch high spot in a tread line. When that high spot is even with the surface of the tire it is worn out and needs replacement. As long as there is room between the tire surface and the indicators the tire is good to go.
