Accessory Consult 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Hey there you all. I took off the back rest and now left with the exposed brackets. Anyone know of a way to not have these exposed the way they are. Any type of accessory out there for it? Thanks I have to work on the size of the pics before I attach

It all depends on alot of things are you keeping the saddle bags on or are you taking them off? If leaving them on then the grab bar others have said or maybe something like this that I just bent a little L bracket and used a couple collector coins I had laying around and some J B Weld and put them on the top of the brackets......

Or if the bags are coming off you can get the eyebrows, and there are a set in the classifieds for sale from Moreland I think still. Or you can get four M8-1.25 25mm phillips head bolts from any hardware store, then go to autozone and get a set of four license plate dress up caps that are chrome caps, you will have to grind the edge of the bolts head down a bit but they look pretty good also.

All depends on what you are taking off and leaving on the bike. I used the coin idea when I was leaving the passenger seat on all the time without the sissy bar but then when I found some suction cups that fit in the bottom of the seat and I took the bracket for the sissy bar completely off and have just a "naked" rear fender when I am alone and if the GF wants to ride I just suction cup the seat on for her and four quick bolts for the sissy bar and we are off its a quick change.

Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: I SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY. John F. Kennedy Aug. 1963

Ya, I am leaving the bags on. I really like that grab bar. What are we looking at as far as cost for one of those. I am thinking it is custom made right?
