There is a tab on the pipes that sits in a slot on the mounting bracket coming off of the bike. You have to lift it up and out while working the pipes loose to get them off.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago when I installed slip-ons. While pulling the stock exaust off lift up, there is a tab that locks the exaust on. Once I figured this out they came off very easy and I felt dumb for yanking so hard with it locked.

I had to take the whole system off, headers and all to get things apart. The clamp nuts were red loctited on. System off made it much easier to get things apart. Take a wide tool and spread the front slip-ends of the new mufflers before you try to slide them onto the headers. It will make things alot easier. By the way, putting the stock mufflers back on is even more of a challange. But I love the sound and don't plan on going back again. BOL.

I really don't mean to laugh at you bro, but when I read that all I could think of is Bill Engvall saying "Here's Your Sign!"

Gotta love it bro
