Sounds like it starving for fuel make sure your gas supply is good and work your way up to the carb. If it has old gas drain the tank by turning to th reserve and then fill it with fresh gas. Also drain the float bowel on the carb before you turn the new gas on. If it still runs bad then you get to pull the carb. Try the easy stuff first and work your way to the hard stuff. (That Curt's Law)

Also change the fuel filter.
