hmmmm I have run two sets of the Dunlop cruisemax tires and have loved evry mile they have given me. Not familier with the 404 either. I wonder if it's that particular tire model or did you just get a bad one? Either way it's cool that you were able to pinpoint it fairly quickly and are back to enjoying the ride.
