OK, we often see or hear about new things we can do. Different MODS, a better Air Filter, BAK, AIS, Removing the fuel pump, venting gas caps, Plugs, Tires, Seats.... bla bla bla....

I would like to know what DIDN'T work. I've heard a lot lately about the NGK Iridium (spelling) plugs work good for about a month, then end up with a vibration or ticking noise. What else is a BAD idea or didn't work like it was supposed to?

Many of us know the term "Written in Blood" and I just thought this would be a good place to tell others what didn't work, or at least what didn't work for you (it might have for someone else).

Hmm, I wouldn't call the Iridiums a bad idea necessarily. We've only had one bad report and a bunch of good ones. But I digress. I've read about a few who've undone the "flip" because of bottoming out too easily if the load's on the heavy side.

I just used those as an example... the flip would have been a better example... Thanks

What else? A few folks had bought a less expensive (cheap) sound system and they fell apart after a couple of months...

I like that there are not that many responses to this thread, that means that most of what is posted does work!

I just installed a set of Irridiums and so far so good (1000+ miles). I have a carb puke proplem now to deal with but I know it's not the fault of the plugs.

OK, the plugs might have been a BAD example.... have you tried anything else that didn't work, anything that you might want to warn people about? Bike stuff, nothing about my X-wife..

Pretty much all of the mods I've done, I've learned on here, & they've all been good ones (knock on wood!). I would like to gratefully thank all of the guys on this forum who've gone before me & were brave enough to experiment with beter-then-OEM modifications & post them here to share.
