As far as Silverado bag brkts, they are the same for hard bags as well fot the leather bags. To use the Royalstar bags you will have to mod the brkts, or mod brkts from Royalstar bags to the bike. Plenty have done it so there is a way you can mount the royal bags

I have the Royal Star Midnight Venture Hard Saddlebags with the Royal Star Venture Mounts attached to my Road Star. Had to do some Heating of the tube for bending and welding but all in all, had some fun doing it. Was not all that hard. This was done last year. Just about two months ago, I found a real good deal on a Royal Star Venture Trunk. Four bolts is all I needed to attach the Trunk onto the existing mounts I attached last year. My wife really loves it for our trips. I get tons of compliments from all sorts of people.

I put my Road Star hard bags on Ghost Brackets, so they come on & off in seconds. Love it...

I imagine you could do the same with Venture bags.

One thing I looked at was building a bracket on the back of the bag, somewhat similar to how H-D supports the Heritage Softail bags. If you search on E-Bay you can see pictures of the rear of the bags and brackets. I thought of using some ABS plumbing clean-out covers from Home Depot (yeah... I know.. I'm cheap) as the basic part, then cutting them to shape, recessing in the bottom to hook onto the bag bracket tube and bolting them on. I thought of going with Dzus fasteners on top and then you could have a quick release set up. Just an idea, maybe good, maybe not. But it's on my list.

Wow, I just decided to come back to this and check out what other comments were made and instead found two of you fellas had posted comments to me. So now why didn't I recieve an e-mail letting me know that additional comments have been made in this thread.
I recall starting a new thread under "Can't Find These". Everytime someone added a post, I was notified. As a matter of fact, I still get them for that thread.
I "assume" that if someone leaves a post for me in a thread that someone other then myself started, I will not be notified, only the person that started that thread. Heeelp !!!! Someone shed some lihgt on this theory. Right or wrong???
