I don't want to look!! 5 Years, 1 Month ago

I usually don't worry about little rattles or noises on the bike. But I've been having a rattle that has been driving me nuts at low speed. Sounds like it comming from around the tank area. Been checking everything I could think of and couldn't find it. Today I put my hand on my tank bib and it stopped. I never would have checked the tank bib for a rattle because it leather. Cows don't rattle. But after it stopped the rattle it dawned on me that the bib has studs. It is supposed to be lined so that the studs don't contact the tank but it sure sounds like metal on metal. I don't want to look at my tank under the bib

Geeeez don't blame ya that really sucks. How long has it been doing it? Maybe if you take it off you could buff any scratches out before they get to bad. Think it is gonna slow it down to a black bike?
