No more debates for me. If someone wants to talk smack to me they have to do it in person. Hell, I will even buy em a beer or their favorite soda.

First and Foremost please let me say I am not a member of a MC and have never been, and I mean no disrespect to ANYONE at all. With that said perhaps I can try to make a comparison that some others may be able to relate to. Recently I read an article about a Retired Navy Senior Chief who was posing as a member of the crew of the USS Cole on the day the ship was bombed and went to a function as such wearing decorations he had not earned and donated a flag he reported was flown on the USS Cole. It has been found out that his claims were not true, he did serve on the Cole but not on that fateful day. As a retired Navy Chief it is not only my feeling but also that of the Navy and dare I say every member of the military period that he should not wear the decorations that were not earned.

Does anyone here think he should be able to wear something he has not earned?????? I sincerly doubt it!?!?!?

Perhaps people who belong to MC's have the same feeling of their colors/patches that THEY EARNED and don't think others should be able to wear them.

Again no disrepect to MC members or non-members.

Just kicking some thoughts around, from my redneck point of view....

I got this info of the internet but have been in a local bar that had a few load HA's in there and the Lords of Loyalty walked in and all of the sudden you could hear a pin drop and trust my on this the HA's never asked a one to remove there colors

In 1997 a few California bikers were thinking about joining one of the clubs in the state. After checking several clubs they started kicking around the idea of starting their own MC.

They shared a mutual belief that in order to have and keep a club strong the club should chose

"Quality over Quantity"

and select only those prospective members that show the most loyalty.

All in agreement with the philosophy and decided that the only way to guarantee this process was to start their own MC.

The" Lords of Loyalty MC" was born.

We are strictly a motorcycle club. We ride only American made bikes.

Our members adhere to a strict level of ethics, pride, brotherhood, and loyalty. Loyalty not only to each other, but to each other's families.

We live and enjoy the biker lifestyle.

Check the rides and events and come ride with the

"Big Royal Blue"

MC

Road Hawg... I must commend you on your great posting on this subject... I wanted to hang back and see how much further the bashing went before I spoke any further... I have been off this forum more than on it lately due to club responsibilities...

As I stated earlier, I do belong to a MC... and there are a lot of misconceptions here... you posted the link to the same one I did... I believe "everyone" that rides a motorcycle should read this site and should be a mandatory type thing... but inevidably, you are gonna have those that wont get it or even try to get it... all you can do there is wish them luck on their lifes journey... everyone that I ride with does have a concealed permit and carries... mostly for their safety, if ever the occasion arrises, not to start anything...

I have tried my best to try to educate the other riding clubs that I have been a member of... but, as you know, that in itself is a task... thanks for your input...

quite well put

iīve seen both sets of arguements from both sides of the fence

some i donīt agree with, others yes, and some things still make me prickle.

i aint the one who makes the rules, so i just live with it.

As far as the issue of responsibly carring a handgun, you couldn't be more right. It is a huge responsiblity that I take very seriously. A concealled weapon is part of my daily dress. Having said that and no offense to the LEO, police can't protect me. In my opinion, police can only investigate a crime after it has already happened. There are not enough officers on the street to be a real effective deterrent to someone with ill intent. There are people who wake up every day that want to hurt you. The only thing that keeps it from happening to you is hopefully you will not cross paths with those people. You should prepare yourself to not be a victim. Remain vigilent and be ready and willing if it should happen. Be smart about where you go and who you associate with. This year I worked admissions at the ROT Rally in Texas. The people who acted like as-holes were not the 1% MCer's. You respect them, you will have no problems. By far the biggest problem was the weekenders who trailered to Austin to play biker for a weekend.
Sorry for the rant. I'm done. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Lots of good information from all sides of this topic. I think it speaks well of the members of the Clinic that we can voice various sides of a potentially explosive topic without getting to a point where the moderators have to step in and close the thread. I definitely learned a few things that I didn't know before reading this thread and the suggested links.

Cheers to all!
