There's a few bikes I'd like to have as well but it would be really hard to part with the Roadstar. I like the Raider and the Stratoliner, plus I really like the look of the new Victory Cross Country.

I've come to the conclusion that there is not one perfect bike out there for me. I'm not able to afford more than one at a time. It would take a stable of 10 or 12 different bikes to totally hold my interest. I've owned almost all styles and brands and have to say that I still think Yamaha is the best value for the $$$. I had a beemer K1200LT. Superb engineering, almost impossible to work on yourself and though it had few quirks they were glaring. The first ride on my my R* was like putting on a pair of good fitting boots. Solid, felt right. Still does. Ride what you can, at least you have a bike so how bad can that be? Happy holidays. Ride safe.

I'll second that. The Roadie is as close as I've gotten so far. But I say that about the Venture, too! I've been on a 'Liner and really liked it also.

You guys have heard it from me so many times that your probably sick of it! Every time I get off my roadie, I am amazed at it's preformance. But, I can't help thinking what a Raider All decked out for touring would look like Or What a Venture made into a bobber would be like! Never mind me ....my wife says I'm weird

I agree; the Victory Cross Country looks like a great bike. Better than the StreetGlide for less money. That would be my SECOND bike with the Roadie.

I agree with that Bushman. My bike just fits. Did the rear turn socket conversion this week and said, Alright it works and I'm done. DW says "it'll never be done". Ya know what, she's right.

like all guys on bikes, always think about that next bike

Not this guy. "In sickness and health, forsaking all others .."

Closest I come to that is thinking what I can do to chop/modify/customize/improve the bikes I have.

Well, I gotta say, after seeing primaryfitness thread about the Raider tires and wheels on his R*, that knocks that option right outta the water. I love the look of those wheels on his R*.

I've said before that the only bike I'd give up my R* for would be the VMAX, but wouldn't oppose to adding it if I hit the lottery. My buddy's HD Cross Bones is very nice as well. The Mrs. always wanted an Ultra Glide ... until her first spill a few weeks back. Now she won't get back on until her kids are 18+ for fear of orphaning them.

For now, I went back to the solo seat -

And with the EZ Brackets and removable windshield, she converts back to a cruiser real quick.
