I think I have a solution to the light problem. There is a kind of plastic paper they use for art work I forget the name of it but you must know what I am talking about this stuff comes in all colors and is see through you can cut it to any shape. Therefore you can cut it put it in the lens of the light and you would have a red tail light. I wish I could remember what that stuff is called.

I'm gonna weigh in here, but I doubt most will agree. When we drive our cars/trucks, the taillights ain't do'in jack till we hit the brakes, then they light up. Thats how I feel about these lights. The brake light works fine when hit(as viewed from my wifes neon) during the day and night. The running light is OK.

Now, my wife was rearended on her bike about six months ago , and it was a standard no frills red taillight and the bike was ruined. People are idiots, and there is only so far you can go to try and idiot proof stuff from idiots. Just my 2 cents.BB

Hey BB

I agree you can't fix stupid but I want to give myself every chance. Yup, car running lights aren't that bright but if I get rearended in my truck it won't hurt as bad so I want more / brighter on my bike.

Yes BB

That certainly is the thinkin by Yamaha..daylight rear running lights arent important

In fact.. cars dont have REAR running lights on in the day ..just brake and signal

until your headlights come on..but then they have red lenses and are bigger and more visible...

Just wear a red jacket ....or better yet... paint yer bike RED...

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/04/23 08:36

Hey 4
I think the RTB is about 9 or 10 bucks cheaper at Phats than Kury.
