As for spokes, if you go that route I'd suggest the fat spokes like SS Custom Cycles sells. I'd shy away from a spoked pulley though as they've been known to be problematic...especially when you put a lot of power to them. Fortunately though, I think the wheels are set up to accept most any Harley pulley, so you'd have a ton of options.
Another wheel choice would be some stock H-D wheels off a touring model (Street Glide, Ultra, etc.). You can find them already chromed for around $600/set, or stock powdercoated black for around $300. Would just need some new axles and spacers from Don at L&D Custom Bike Wurks.
BTW, where did you score the skull mounted on the triple tree? A set of those would look killer on the back of my hard bags.
Believe it or not the skull I have in the front came from a creative moment. I purchased the Kuryakyn mirror and found out that work with crap and I refused to just let them sit on the side. As a result of just sitting there and staring at the bike, I decided the theme of the bike by first shaving off the stem of the mirror and only have the skull on the tripple tree. the next step of putting the led eyes in the skull was just being crazy and actually happened after making a joke about it. As for the wheels, I want to make the right decision, I love the spokes and they definitely fit the theme, but my concern is the issues with them and with me riding no less than 12-15k a year, breaking down is not an option. I really want a bad as^ looking rim, but don't have bad as* money. Also, can you guys give me some ideas about a paint theme or a good sticker idea. I got a few replies before, but now that you are seeing the bike maybe you can better aide me.
All you guys are giving me some good ideas, and Gram I think i'm going to do what you said and get rid of the balance of the Yamaha markings and do something about the front tins. I will say this much, when I rid with my club and the Harley guys see the bike, they are not happy about it ;o) I guess it's a good thing I'm a big guy....LMAO

Mike, fantastic work with a great video. The SRV track was a excellent touch!
What have you got on the right handlebar controls????
As for paint, a metallic gold penstripe with a hint of retro from the 70' & 80's XS Midnight Specials comes to mind. The debadging is a definite positive step in your theme. I'm not a spoke fan and your rear wheel is hidden for the most part but a spoke up front might just work especially if you black out the forks. I saw a special edition Sportster that was done that way and it really caught your attention. I'm a fan of rail accents, chrome or black but it might not fit your theme quite as well and take away from the clean lines that you have now.
I suspect that as long as your creating your ideas listening to SRV, you'll come up with more awesome work!
Great looking bike!

Hey Brian, the right handle control is my Garmin Zumo unit which is awesome if you are really into creating route. It's hard to decide on if I should get into stripes with the bike and if it will be over kill rather than staying with the solid metallic black. One question to you all, is there anyway I can simply just change the tins up front without spending a lot of money. The chrome front would make me really happy

NIcely done.
You can do the front end on the cheap by polishing the tins and lower forks. The tins are SS so they will polish up like chrome; the lowers are aluminum so need to be touched up from time to time as they'll dull.

Beautiful bike Mike! As for the wheels, I suggest simply chroming the stock wheels. Yammi did a great job designing them, but I think they dropped the ball by not giving us a chrome wheel option. With chrome wheels & pulley, you won't give up dependability & you get a lot of bling for the buck. As for paint & colors, you've already got the 2 best primary colors. Black & chrome! As you can see by the sigpic, I'm a little partial. Great job with the video too my friend. You can't go wrong combining a beautiful scoot with SRV. It's not hard to tell you're justifiably proud of your work.

NICE! The only things I would add (or subtract) 1) Remove the fuel pump 2)Do a KEY mod Couple of ideas Or search this site for Key mods, I know someone did one with a scull. Or do like MS1700 and use a nut cap.
My free key mod..

Or.. if you are staying solo seat, how about the "Grab Bar" for the back??

Mike, saw the Garmin mount. I've got the zumo 660, have you had any problems with yours? I can't use the software that came with it. They never gave me the code.So I can't put my routes in the darn thing.Tried calling several times, 45 min. wait, to talk to "skippy" who doesn't have a clue. Again nice job.

Hey Bill, I'd try calling Garmin back and speaking with someone different. I have had nothing but sucess with Garmin everytime I've called and they are more than willing to work with you. I have the Zumo 550, i figured wait for the 660 to work out the corks and like every new toy it had it's limited issues but overall you will love the unit. Did you go to the website yet and use the product key to register the unit?

Very nice scoot Mike! You have done a great job making her one of a kind.
How do you like your Ultimate seat on our Jersey roads??
I'm strongly considering getting one for my Jersey butt and back!
