HA, that's funny. I kinda thought that apes would be cool too. But it's so low the setup now is actually pretty nice. I didn't get that fat I guess because it was actually pretty comfy to ride but I think it did shrink just a little some how. It sits so low, I have to back the rear wheel onto a brick so I can get the jack/lift under it.

Nice! I say the title under the pic but is that a knuckle? You have the same RS I have. How much of a pita was it to put the apes on your RS?

Yup sure is - kinda my dream bobber

As far as my apes, it was a great experience actually. I bought about 30' of 18-gauge wire and extended each wire (took my time... soldered, staggered the joints, shrink-tubed, etc.). But the wiring was easy to run internally because I've got 1.5" apes and it slid right down no problem. Lottsa fun and I'd totally do it again if I had to.

I'd keep it! There's not too many around and the chances of getting another would be slim. Just my .02

NO!!! that is not a knuckle head motor. That is an evo style motor from a late model sportster. Still a cool looking bobber though!!!
