ais question 2 Years, 3 Months ago
hey guy's

03 roadstar sivlerado

cobra speedster longs / jet kit

full-flow air cleaner

runs good!!

thinking of removing the ais system (is it worth it?)

having no problems / have 15,000 mile on the bike

will it be hard to remove the fittings because of
waiting so long to do it?

thank everybody "spring coming soon"

YES do it!

Make sure you get a AIS removal kit (plugs) you could make your own but, IMHO just buy the kit.

It will help backfire and look a lot cleaner on your bike without that junk on there.

It may be a little difficult to get off but shouldn't be that bad.

Get rid of it man...it cleans the bike up SOOOO much. I just did it on my bike and it has over 40,000 miles. I have done a number of bikes and this one was no harder than the others with way less miles. It has always been the first mod I do to my R*'s and this is my 4th one.

I've heard of clamping a spent 45 cal cartridge on the fitting instead of removing it. You never know, you might want to reinstall someday.

From a looks standpoint , it's a must do. Doesn't help with the power , though it does with the backfiring and chirping. Just hang on to it , in case Uncle Sam ever comes your way with bike inspections. BB

Like everyone said, it cleans up the bike, plus it's extra weight you don't need. I pulled mine and have never been sorry.

Where is the best place to get the removal kit? The only one on Ebay is 24 but another 24 for shipping
