Just installed a set of Kenda Kruz tires this morning. Gonna take a ride in about an hour, will report back later. Got both for 143 bucks shipped to my door from this outfit. http://stores.ebay.com/CZ-POWERSPORTZ

Iron,
I got my Avon rear from JC Whitney. If you sign up for email coupons they will send you discounts and free shipping offers. Got a 160 for $154 to the door.

I had the kenda cruz. It handled very well in all conditions. I guess you could say I had confidence in the tire. I ran the 160-80-16. Unfortunately A large screw shortened the life of the tire and I put a pirelli tire (the only tire they had 700 miles from home). I have another kenda cruz to put on as well as a new front tire.

REAR
tirefactory.net Vrenestien Comtrac 175 75 16 C or CR For the Rear Was $129 Shipped Used Equal To balance 3 oz's and got a friend to mount for nothing, but I tipped him.

Front To compliment the rear as suggested by Darksiders on the Delphi Forum and they were right on as I ran it with an Avon for 300 miles and it did not feel nearly as nice. Anyways, Front is a REAR Pirelli MT66 in the same size as stock, It has more meat and will last longer, You mount it in a backwards rotation or in reverse of what is marked on the sidewall. Trust me on this, or look it up on Dark Side forum. You can do it, and you must when mounting a rear on the front. (It's the way the case is laid)

Search RSC Darkside,
Search Youtube Darkside tires,
Search for delphi Forums Darkside. (Only online forum that really has great info. )

I have installed car tires for three customers and the first one has come back saying that he put 1,000 miles on it and it was the worst riding tire he has ever been on and he can't stand it. I reinstalled the tire that was removed to install the car tire. Haven't heard anything from the other two yet. This guys bike and one of the others is a VTX 1800. The third bike was a Stratoliner.

Seems like a car tire made for such a heavy load would be rough riding for a relatively light bike. Also I have seen videos where the camera was mounted under the bike and when in a turn there is not much surface area of the tire on the road because they are not rounded. I know a guy who has one on his Valkyrie, but I never discussed the ride and handling with him. He seems to like it though. Video 2 depicts my concerns with the amount of patch placement on the road. Dry pavement at low speed. In fact, both of these videos are relatively low speed. what happens at highway speeds when in a higher angle of lean when the tire starts to actually be getting into the sidewall?
