The stator will not stop the flux nor will it help the cd skip. Most car stereos have a range that is pretty wide. A relay seemed to help not sure why but it works. As far as the radio goes. Alpine is the only stereo besides maybe carmenhardon harley edition(cost more than hoppe with radio) (posibly) that is set up to handle most bumps. If someone knows of another one please let me know.

Most CD players today have buffer memory so you dont hear the skip. The more expensive the player the more buffer you'll get. However, our bikes are not Goldwings or caddys.IPOD is way better than any CD player and holds more music than youll every need

bowhunter is right I believe the skip is due to vibration. And like Helmut said I can play my ipod which has more music in it then I could listen to if I rode for 2 weeks solid. So long story is I like my Hoppe fairing. A bit expensive but I like having a stereo and it does knock down a lot more of the wind then the windshield ever did.

Seeing Hoppes does not paint these fairings, what should a guy expect to pay for a single color stock paint match. Do they disassemble them to paint then reassemble?
Any rattles after?
They sure look nice!

couple hundred id say - its a outer/inner shell.

as for the cd skip, go buy a cheap ipod - holds hella lot of music, doesnt skip, can be used for other things (ie walking ect).

i like my hoppe - only complaint is i wished they used a 5 1/4" speaker so upgrading them would be cake.

Re:Hoppes Quadzilla Fairing/sound system for Roadies 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I picked one up last year and like the looks. It's a slick system on and off in less then 5 min. with quick disconnect wiring and mount to standard brackets . Had one issue with it when it came. After I installed had a rattle noise when the rpm's got up high and when I hit a bump. I pulled it off and pulled it apart found that the mount for the sound system was busted from the glass. Sent Hoppie and e-mail and they replied back quickly. The owner himself called me and talked it over. He assured me that this had only happen once before early on in the building process. I told him it was one bad spot in the glass and would fix it myself, but was not happy, was going on a trip in a couple of days. He sent me a couple different height wing shields and a chrome trim accent up front.

He was a nice guy and made it right with me. I would buy again, nice people to work with!!!!!!

WOW someone that actually stands behind their product...that's rare these days! Good to know. What was the issue exactly and how did you fix it?
