Internal wiring 2 Years, 2 Months ago
i'm getting ready to install my apes and run the wires internally. Just wondering how long I have to extend my wires? Is it 10 inches like the cables.

Also, any tips or tricks I should know before I start.

I am assuming by the length of the cables you are putting on 16's?If so I just installed mine and went w/ 20" wire extensions at the reccomendation of Barons Customs which is where I bought my bars. You could probably get away w/ a few inches shorter but its your call.I used 18 gauge wire,I used a piece of 18 Gauge wire to pull the wires w/ and it worked great.I pushed the pull wire thru the bars and taped it to the bundle and fed from the bottom up,it helps to have someone help feed the wires tru the bottom as you pull them out at the bar ends, also use some kind of lube on the wires to help them thru(soapy water or wire lube made for that purpose which i used).Remember to have your clutch perch on before you pull the wires or you will not be able to get it on once the wires have been pulled.Any other questions feel free to ask
