BLUING OF PIPES 2 Years, 2 Months ago  
Wondering if anyone has had success with removing bluing of pipes and if so ,what product did you use??? Thanks

Vance and Hines longshots for 1700.The discoloration is on the top rear cylinder pipe at the joint(between header and tailpipe/muffler)

I have the same pipes and they are turning in the same spot on the same pipe.

That's a common area for those pipes to turn gold, usually caused by improper jetting.

There is no free ride ... any product you use (and there are a number of them) will dull your pipe.

Thanks to all those who replied.Just find it strange never installed a BAK nor changed jets all stock Never discolored factory pipes with 22,000 miles.

Factory pipes are true double walled and the canister is huge so heat dissipation is not a problem.
