Thank God you're OK. I'd rather be lucky than good any day. And, today, it sounds like you were lucky. A serious crash like that and only a bruise on your arm??? Your guardian angel was on your shoulder. Hope your feeling better soon. Black Ice can be repaired and/or replaced ... you can't.

I'm pleading the 5th on the helmet issue.

Thanks for all your well wishes guys. I got up today a little stiff and a little sore but not near as bad as I figured I would be. Had a little feaver last night but sweated it out and arm feels better today. Going to take my mom grocery shopping today and break the new to her. I am sure you will hear her all over the whole world when I do. We will swing by the dealer and take some picture of her and post them when I get back. Thanks again for all your support!

Glad you came through virtually unscathed Curt. Black Ice is as much a part of the forum as you. Personally I'd try and fix/rebuild it. I'm thinking that a helmet will be standard equipment for me this year.

I, like Moreland4 initial looked at this thread and was sure it was an old one from
a while back. Saw the date and was like "Damn that sucks"! Glad to see your okay
apart from the bruise. It's amazing how fast the accident happens especially when
your in the middle of it. I think this is a wake up call to us all, after the winter
the country has had road conditions have changed alot. I know here potholes have popped
up everywhere and their is sand and fine gravel all over especially in the corners. I
went out on the a bike couple of days ago and occasionally on the corners could feel the front
and rear step out a bit. That will make your butt pucker a bit, that and having some
dumb a** 1. cut in front of you and 2. undercut you when your turning. Wanted to kill that
guy ! Sorry no advice for avoiding dumb A** cagers.
Hopefully all will be well with Black Ice, look forward to seeing the new incarnation
of her. Lets see the pics of her current condition, then the reincarnation.
