Just a quick question about Kenda tires 2 Years, 2 Months ago
I am just about to the point that I have to put new tires on my R* and all this talk about Kenda kruz sounds good and I see I can get them cheap from ebay and all but before I do...
Who makes them?
If they are Chinese I want nothing to do with them!
I have searched the web and not had any luck in locating the manufacturer
Thanks

I find they report it's a noisy tire that is not good on wet surfaces. It's a hard rubber tire and thats why it lasts so long and is not so good on wet roads. Looks to me like a good tire for 99% of riders here. http://www.kendausa.com/

LOL If you are not in the PGR's then you can run em.
From their about us in link above.
Today, our tires and tubes can be found in all parts of world on bicycles, lawn equipment, automotive vehicles and more. Our factories in Asia (Taiwan, China, Vietnam) provide quality products to suit a wide variety of applications. Continuously we strive to develop innovative products while providing high standards of quality and excellence in customer service. When it comes to choosing a tire or tube for your bicycle, motorcycle, ATV, golf cart, lawn mower or automobile, think Kenda.

A chinese tire, just what a good motorcycle mechanic would run.

Bummer found my own answer at made-in-china dot com.
I have had to much problem with tires made in china cupping no matter how close I watch the balance and pressures.
back to the search, luckily there are many options for tires for me

I have had good experience with Metzler 880s. I am on my third or forth set. they ride and corner good and are good on wet surfaces. My only complaint is that I only get about 8000 miles or so on rear tires, but that my have something to do with my tendency to accelerate quickly from a stop

I have two Kenda Kruz in the shop (a 150 and a 160 rear), both say "made in Taiwan."

I've been a die hard metz fan on the roadie, also had them on my 1100ACE, between the 2 bikes clocked about 160k miles on them tires. but due to economic hard times, needed to save some bucks, so I researched the Shinko 777 cruiser tire, when I was satisfied of the reviews I found, ordered a pair, was about 75 bucks less for pair then the metz. they have very similar tread pattern, run just as quiet, grip the road as well on dry/wet roads. I run 40psi fr, 42psi rear, got about 10k, 11k on tires now, front still has plenty tread, and fairly sure I'll get 20k on front, rear from the looks should get about 13, 14k. I'm very satisfied with the shinko's
