Yes........there is only so much travel on the shock, the stock spring extends the shock to its full length with no load..If you put a shorter spring in then it would sit lower....

Here is the stock one. The way it sits, it measures about 7 1/2 inches.

There are several air ride systems on the market. The guy who gave us a deal on the Tricky system isn't with the company anymore. One thing with the Tricky system is the damping, or lack thereof. It uses no hydraulic damper, just a bleeder valve on the non pressurized side. It will not give you the same control that a oil filled damper will. There is at least one air bag type of system out there that keeps your stock damper, with the spring removed. I don't know much more about it other than the pictures I have seen.

This is a shot of both springs, the progressive has white letters that I THINK say Progressive Spring on it. I can't read the lettering, ctrl + to enlarge. Maybe they put the wrong spring on.

Yea you can certainly jack the ride up by adjusting the pre load. Did you buy that spring from like a dealer or 2nd hand? Hate to say that maybe you bought a stock spring? Did you see lettering on it?

Yes, I bought it from a forum member, and it does say "progressive suspension" or something like that on it.
