gas lines 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Its been a while since I have been online. I still have my roadie and its running well. Went on a poker run couple weeks ago. Got another set up for next weekend. Enough of this back to why I posted this...

I had moved my fuel pump to the right side cover. I just had the rubber lines running to the carb and the fuel tank. I didn't think that looked too good and didn't want to take a chance of a hole rubbing into the lines and a leak forming.

I went and got some alluminum 5/16 brake lines. I cut and bent them to fit in place of the rubber lines. The line going to the fuel pump I placed it through the battery box up the backbone and down to the carb.

The line going to the fuel pump I ran straight forward to the right side of the oil tank behind the right side cover bent it up toward the top of the middle of both side covers. Went through the hole in between the middle of the two side covers, up the backbone and cut it out toward the fuel tank outlet.

I placed a short rubber line on each end of both lines with a inline fuel filter right next to the tank outlet. I have put several miles on it and had no problems since. I had no problems bending the lines by hand either. I will try to take some pics if anyone is interested in seeing them.

I'll second that. Lets see the pics. Did you put insulation on them?

Dido I did the same thing but I added some insulations on mine when it runs down the right side. Get's a little close to the motor was afraid it may get to hot and boil.

Put on about 150 miles so far no problems but the temp here has only been in the mid 50s Really didn't care cause it was a nice ride either way.

Would like to see the pic's on how you routed the your lines?

Sure take a while to pump up but Like someone said here we may get 5 more mile with all that line
