Cheap Tire Price? 2 Years, 1 Month ago

Ok, just got off the phone with a local stealer here in co. They quoted me the dunlop curise max wide white wall D404, front(86.00) and rear (96.00) + install (141.00) for 325.00 out the door.

Fair price?
Decent enough tire?

I got just over 10k on the ones that came on the bike.

Another quoted me on the me880's front and rear and install for 425.00. I have done alot of reading from my fellow members here at the RSC and it seems the most prefered are the metzlers. Having never rode them before,(just asking for you .02) will I notice enough difference in the quality or should I save the hundred bucks?

Hey Hammersly, Just last week my local dealer installed a set of Metzer 880 www for $384.00. Originaly he told me $450.00. Sounds like your dealers in the ballpark. I got 12,000mi out of my oem tires.

I sell tires for the list price installed. The quote you have for dunlops is good, they are charging about half price for the tires and then charging a lot for installation. The Dunlop Cruise Max and the Dunlop D404 are to differant series of tires; they are not the same thing. The best "BANG FOR THE BUCK" is Kenda Kruz; list price is $250 for the pair. The problem there for you is that they do not make white walls.
