I took her for a quick ride today to get an impression of the changes the 21" made. Steering is somewhat slower it seems, tracks straight as an arrow. I guess this can be affected by how high I have the rear, but it should be good. Changing to one front brake is a huge change. I'm not so sure I'm going to like that. Unless I can find a high friction brake pad, I might have to change back to dual brakes. Anybody have a 6 piston brake laying around? Didn't hit any big holes, but the front end seems OK after lowering it 2" and putting in 7wt oil.

Now, if I can only get the freekin fender back from paint!!!

Looks really good. Low and dark. Had my left rotor off for a while and it was a little scary two up.

You should be able to upgrade the brakes and the difference from 2 to 1 be negligible. BB

What is the upgrade? Mine is an '07 with the 4 piston caliper already.

Very nice.

I know that you have some cash and effort into your fender, but have you ever considered leaving that bike as it is? I am not a fan of the naked front wheel, but after seeing your pics, you should give it some serious consideration. Bike looks sweet.

Another thing to consider is changing the front master cylinder to one with a larger bore. Something around 3/4 bore. I'm not done with my build yet but I will see how mine reacts with the different master up front and single rotor. I just have to wait for parts to arrive. And that sucks waiting.
