Big, not so-so. If your mom didn't shop in the "husky" section for you as a kid, or your tee shirt stays tucked in all by its self, your probably not going to be able to help here.

I'm both, big and tall. I've tried 5 seats so far, and have come back to the 1700 stocker due to its flatness offering me the abililty to move around. I've tried: 1600 stocker, better looks, less sitting room, Corbin stinger, better looks , no move around room, Yamaha star accessories solo seat, sitting on the tank in a fishbowl just doesn't cut it for me,saddleman solo, looked fantastic, sat me on the tank once more, and no move around room.

Ray at looney said "he would rather have me as an unsatisfied non-customer than a unsatisfied customer". I get him, and that's fair.
Now, up front, I've sat on a mustang an it too was a NO-GO. The whole pocket thing that all these manufacturers build in to their seats just don't help tall riders.
All that being said, what have you big guys done for more comfort? As a memory aid , I'm 6'4 / 325-330 have a 56 inch chest/44 waist. I'm built kinda like a football player. After your finished laughing, any advice? BB

BB, my only advice would be to find someone that can build a seat custom for you. It won't be cheap though. But I am sure that maybe someone else might be able to offer a cheaper alternative.

Post edited by: 2000roadstar, at: 2007/05/17 17:54

I think..........uhmmmmm........just thinking here......that maybe.......ahhh.........you're too big to be ridin a motorcycle. Ever see the circus bear on the little bike?

Seriously, sounds like a modified stock seat is best for you. The stocker seems huge compared to any aftermarket seat I've seen. Good luck.

Big Bear,

I am similarly built, 6'4"/275#, 54in chest, 40in waist. I had the same problem you have. Until I got myself a Paicific Coast custom seat. The way it works is:

They send you a seat, you try it for a week and if you like it, you send them your stock seat. If you don't, you send theirs back and you owe them nothing.
They are the only people I found that will do this. Not to mention how much cheaper they are.
It is a stock seat pan and cover that is dished out in the middle, and high density foam is added, it completely changes the pressure points and removes them from your tailbone.

If you decide to try this, the first time you sit on it, you will think:
"This guy is F'in crazy" but after two or three long rides it will adjust to your big a** and you will thank me.

Be sure and read all of the information on this website, it explains the they do business.

Give them a try you have nothing to lose.

Turn the key to the left without pushing down on the key. It might help to push down on the nose of the seat at the same time to help it unlatch.

Ahhhh ..... and who laughs at football players.? other football players.

Hope you find a seat. It's tough to enjoy a ride when you're hurting.
