originally had the Emgo filter attached under the rec/reg to one of the unused AIS mounts, eventually the mount broke, so dealer wrench mentioned this mod since he had done a few roadies this way, works for me, change filter about every 10k miles.



cool spot. definitely easier, and will never drip

I was thinking about rerouting hose to under the bike. is hose long enough by itself to reach or do I need an extension hose? do I also cap off hole where hose came from on breather box? thanks

K&N sells various size filters with chrome end plates. That's what I have installed up high after removing old brackets for the stock location for fuel pump. I was paranoid about rain getting somehow though the filer. So it's now just for looks and I have run a line down to one side of the inner fender.

I,ve been running that filter for a couple of months pep boys special,ran it down left side lays right behind front pully cover,looks great.

Your better off putting a new hose on and routing it down beside the oil tank or you can put a breather on it like the others.
Yes you should put a cap on the air box where it was attached.
