almost a perfect day 2 Years, 1 Month ago
So I got in an awesome 6 hours or so of touring today down to Corolla North Carolina. I put a new Saddlemen's Renegade solo on the other day. Decided to check the oil in Corolla and noticed a nice deep cut down to bare metal on my fender under the rear of the seat. It seams there is a nice edge of sheet metal under the back of the seat frame that is exposed with no padding between it and the fender. Every bounce causes this edge to ram down onto the fender. What's worse? I can't seem to find a flaw that would sudgest that maybe the fabric ripped, exposeing the sheet metal edge on the seat. Crappy design, very ticked off. Just had to vent after an almost perfect day. As a side note, I was getting about 200 miles to the tank so I am guessing that would be about 46 mpg. Not too bad. If my math is off, please advise.
