My Stock 2003 Silverado Seat has my butt hurting in about 15 minutes of riding. I can stay on the bike for 200 miles but it is no comfortable experience. My right leg starts hurting at about 150 or so due to the air cleaner so the butt pain isnt as noticable. I really need to be back about 3 " and down at least an 1" or so. I'm 6' and about 255 lbs or so. I've owned 2 Harleys, 3 Hondas 2 Kawasakis and now a Yamaha. I love this bike. It is a winner without doubt.

Post edited by: n5ifi, at: 2007/05/19 11:47

I just ordered my PCS "original" seat tonight...sounds like the perfect solution for me. I like the Corbin Dual Touring and all, but the stock seat just allows more "move around & fidget" room. I like its looks & fit the best, so hopefully this will take care of the "feel". My wife told me to keep the Corbin for when she's coming along, but the majority will be a solo set up. I can't wait to try it out! Thanks for the link!

Hey RK...I have the PCS stock seat( you can see it on my sig pic) and it lowers you about 1" as well. Very comfy and lot's of wiggle room. I moved the pedals forward 2" with 5 degree added slant...

I talked to a guy at PCS and he said they cut a "bucket" (his words) into the stock seat. I know you guys are swearing by it, but I HATE being trapped in one spot! Is this what it does for you? He also said they were 5 weeks out on builds (said I could ship him my seat to build now, but then if I hate it, I've got no seat to sit on). Anybody in the Atl. area or near southeast running one of these that I could meet, and swap seats with for a ride to know wheather or not I would like it. I'll buy lunch! Let me know.BB

the "bucket" only gives your rear a home...but you can still move around easily. I shift positions a lot. Working on a solo backrest that is adjustable as well which helps a lot....when it is done i will share the making of it.

the bucket only gives your rear a home! I shift positions a lot. Since they are the only people who have a ride if you like policy i would wait. I wouldn't buy anything I couldn't ride either!

Hey BB

You should ask over on the RSR to see if anyone has one near you that you could check out.
