Did not work well. I replaced the whole business with a couple of bullet type directionals that I mounted right on the fender. Drilled a couple of holes, wired them up. Took apart my stock Plate holder and made my plate "lay down", got the wires under the fender (rather than poking out through to feed the directionals). They attach on each side of the rear light without any loop.
