dialing in bak for newbie 2 Years ago
Hello, my name is Donnie and I am new to this forum and I wanted to say hi to everyone. I have been reading several of your tech articles on carb jetting and I seem to be more confused than ever. My bike is an '04 1700 with 10k miles, has a stock air box until now, where I just purchased a BAK to install and I already have 3" HK straights. Now I just ported the manifold and looked at my current jets to find a 182.5 main jet and everyone is talking about 170 to 175 mains, what gives....Could mine be a Dyniojet main installed with pipes at dealer??? Do you guys have any recomendations on what to change considering my new (self ported manifold and a Barons big air kit). I gotta believe there are others that have this similar combination and was wondering if you could tell me what your jets and settings are for a starting point. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.
