Cover recommendations? 2 Years ago
Unfortunatly no garage for me. My neighbor - a biker from waaay back in the day - let me keep the scoot in his shed over the winter. But now she's sitting in the driveway, getting pelted with a dreary mix of rain and snow. Yeah, snow. In May. Gotta' love Montana. Can anyone recommend a quality motorcycle cover brand? I see those sketchy ads on ebay for like $6 bucks and I'm almost certain they probably suck. Thanks!

A quality cover is gonna run you about $60 on up. Any local MC dealer should stock them. Almost further off getting a 4 person dome tent and putting that over it. Disguise it as well.

I picked one up at Walmart and it is actually real decent (a cover not the smokin hot chick). It wasn't very expensive either (unlike the smoking hot chick).

Actually Greys idea is not a bad idea at all, I know you guys in Montana are having a really strange spring weather wise. But other than the rain/snow you also have to consider the wind which is almost always present in Montana, the tent in my opinion is a realistic option compared to a cover that almost always blows partially off and can cause some really significant damage to paint jobs. The tent protects from both the precipitation and the wind.

A little bit off topic, but where in Montana are you at, I have family in both Shelby and Billings?

I bought a CoverMax. Not the cheapest but neither is my bike!
It was about $70 at the MC dealer.

the wall-mart cover is like 20 bucks i have been using it for last three bikes w/no garage...if you forget to tie it off and it blows away or a dog pees on it (i know from experience) just go buy a new one. They work as good as any other i have used.

I have the Dowco weatherguard plus, runs about $90 at Motorcycle Superstore.
Nice heavyduty cover. I have no garage so It's been in the rain, snow and wind
and it's held up well. Order a size larger than recommended, I had a Walmart cover
once, basically parachute type material, minimal protection at best IMHO.
Goodluck,
Chris
