My R* has no problems pulling hills 2 up with the trailer loaded. I have been known to kind of race some vehicles who think because your pulling a trailer you don't have any power. They soon find out otherwise. The biggest problem when pulling a heavy trailer like ours is you must remember that you can't stop anywhere close to before. So always leave plenty of room and look ahead and anticipate needing to come to a stop.
As for lighting problems I don't have any problems and I'm still running the stock stator!

Thanks Hardone, I had thought of going with hard cases and trunk but like the look
of my leather bags. I had even thought about going with a Goldwing or such down the
road. Only thing was I felt like I was sitting behind the dash of the space shuttle.
Knowing I can just pull a trailer leaves me an option as I really like the simplicity
of the Roadie. Just wish someone would offer a high output stator for heated accessories
for the wife and I plus extra lights. Locking saddle bags are nice though.

Hey Transam1
Pretty much as Hardone2get said. No problem pulling camper what so ever, but need to make appointment to stop.
Takes a little getting used to towing a trailer or camper at first, but then you get spoiled, and wouldn't want to be without it.

I'm running the stock stator and I also run heated gear ( heated gloves, jacket and pants ) for the wife and I with NO problems. And thats while running the high beam with the headlight modulator going, the AUTOCOM and passing lamps on.

Never had a problem yet.....

There's just nothing better than a Roadstar....
