Passenger Footboards 7 Years, 10 Months ago
Hi,

I recently purchased passenger floorboards for my 03 Silverado. The instruction sheet is vary vague has anyone installed these? They say there is a left and right bracket but they are not marked. I installed them but am not sure I put them on right.
Do the floorboards sit forward of the orginal foot pegs ?. I can swap the brackets to either side . These are Yamaha's floorboards and brackets. They seem close to the exhaust pipe when I swap them the other way but sit closer to the orginal position of the foot pegs.

Thank You,
Silverado Butch

I installed some Yamaha Floorboards recently for my 99 and it's a preference for the passenger foot rest. I found the setting which puts it further back was the right one for my passenger. They install the same way.

Mil,
Thanks for the answer. I had thought it to be as you have stated but have not installed the boards so did not wish to answer wrong.

Mil ,

Thanks for the info . Does your bike have the high up swept pipes ? It seems to me that the right side passenger floorboard is real close to the pipe when I put it in the rear position. Here is a pic of my foot peg on right side.

Thanxs,

Here is a pic of the rightside of my floorboards. I took more if needed . It seems if I reverse the brackets the right side footboard would be real close to the exhaust pipe.

Yes, it does have the original Yamaha front pipes and Cobra slip-ons (slashcut). The right floorboard sits close enough to the top pipe but not that close. It doesn't cause problems for me.

Trying again. Ok you can only have 50kb file and no spaces or dashes in file name. After uploading the file click the next to the browse button.
