Got the tricky air in... however the bag mounts hit the belt guard, so it only drops a few inches... I'm also thinking this will be an issue when riding- looks like I need to get some custom work done I just love the thought of hacking up $350 bag mounts.

My bag mount hit the belt guard also so I removed the guard. Others have as well. If you mainly ride solo you may be OK as the bags protect/cover most of the belt. Even 2 up with care you may be OK.

I was pulling out my hair (what's left of it anyway) trying to find the "clang". Then I saw the touchpoint and tried spacers to push the mount out. I came here and did some digging/reading and decided to remove the guard. The bracket had plenty of clearance from the exposed rear pulley so all is good.

deadlion, do you have the tricky air on your bike?

I think it may drop lower than stock suspension does.

Good point...I just have lowering bones on now but am installing a Baron's Air Ride/hybrid system this week. I'll have to check all the clearances again for the mounts and sub-fender. StoneCold has tricky and bags mounted though.

I may wait until next Winter project season to add stretched bags then I'll have to also consider skid plates.

Just an FYI, if you haven't test-fit your front fender yet you're going to need some 1/2" spacers as it's narrower than the stocker.

There must be some strange Japanese mathematic secret I don't know about though as the stocker measures 7-3/4" wide and the BadDag is 7-1/8" wide - a difference of 5/8". Divide that by two and you get 5/16" spacer for each side. Bought 3/8" spacers for mine today and went to install the fender and after tightening up one side I still had a 1/4" gap between the spacer and fender on the other side and the fender is clearly off-center.

If you have a Menards nearby they stock 5/16" I.D. x 1/2" long chrome spacers (O.D. is around 9/16" ). I also put a rubber washer between the spacer and fender to protect the paint as much as possible.

Gabe....with the stock dogbones, Tricky will drop the rear to about 1/2 inch clearance from fender to rear tire. This would allow you to ride fully dumped if you feel so inclined. Basically like a hard tail at that point. If you have changed to the lowering bones (sounds like deadlion has), it will be too low and the fender will hit the tire. I wouldn't recommend that at all as it will also hit on a good bounce. Tricky recommends going back to the stock bones to avoid this by all means. Quick easy way to trash a tire or lock up the rear on you.

You want it low, but not too low.

Yeah, I still have my stock bones and will be reinstalling them when I put the air shock on.

Yeah, the baddad front fender came with 3/4inch spacers that u really have to squeeze the fender to get them to fit. Not too happy about the way it fits with them squeezing the heck out of it. And greeny, I took my adjustable bones out a long time ago. Btw I tried taking off the belt guard and it sat right on the rear pully. Looks like I have to get the bag mount modified asap. I guess that's the price u have to pay to have custom stuff.

Autozone has load equalizers. Why would you need it for the taillight. If you mean turn signals then you can get an electronic flasher at autozone too.
