Same here. I was torn about the $30 also but since I am working on a few projects and am hearing about bag thefts this summer I went ahead and made the investment.

With the product in hand it appears to be a simple but effective solution. Also Brukus stands behind their products.

Congrats! Looks awesome...job well done (maybe not done as we are never really "done".

How does it handle with the new fender, bags, and air ride?

Now that you are up for air its time to get a new digital camera. Besides, you'll need clean pics to get posted on the Baddad customer page and next year's Star calendar

Thoughts after a good ride.

I'm still up in the air about handle bars right now. Really want some Ape Hangers, but I think I wanna just ride it for a while at this point. I really dislike my stock bars- they seem to hurt my wrists for some reason- I may put back on the star bars. They were super comfy.

I've done some fidgeting of the rebound on the air shock and am pleasantly surprised about the way it rides. Much better than I thought it would- and maybe it'll even get better with some more adjustments.

First left hand turn and scraped the bags, I started being a little more easy on her and had only 1 other scrape after that. I'm glad I bought the skid-plates, I just wonder if I put them close enough to the edge. I'll look tomorrow and check out the damage... I wonder what else I can do to protect my investment.

I think tomorrow the passing lights and stock blinkers get taken off (they aren't hooked up anyways) and I put on the LED blinkers I bought a while back. I also have some blinker sized LED's for the bags that will go on when I figure out how to wire them properly. I'd like to have them do running/brake/blinker.

The hinges on the bags are a little cumbersome. I think this is due to newness, and me drilling all the holes with no templates. Hopefully things loosen up, and the bags open up smoother soon.

The exhaust... wow- it's mean and loud, but not bad when at cruising speed. There is a weird ping sound that comes from it, oh and it shoots flame when I'm slowing down and it backfires.

Overall I'm super stoked- one guy asked if it was an Indian... when I told him it was a Yamaha- he started cracking up. I kinda feel like I'm riding another bike, but yet it's still comfortable like an old shoe.

Anyways, here are my favorite pics... I'll get a proper camera and post in the pictures section next.

Hmmm, on the scraping, do you know if it was at the back corner or the side? Reason being is that as another Baddad mount user pointed out their mount mounts the bag on a slant (towards the rear) rather than level, even w/out lowering.

I am using a modified Cycle Visions Baggertail mount that mounts level. I've thought about getting Baddad's fender and another vendors bags and wonder if it will all fit together. If it does the thought is that the bags will be parallel to the ground.

Yeah, it's hitting the rear of the bag. Something tells me it would still be the rear of the bag even if they were not leaning back.
