first road trip-but need some help1 1 Year, 7 Months ago
HEY GUY'S

WENT ON MY FIRST ROAD TRIP, FROM PA. TO ROANOKE VA.
WENT WITH MY CHURCH GROUP,GUY'S CAME IN FROM TEXAS,FLA.
GREAT TIME (20 GUY'S WITH BIKES) LOTS OF GREAT ROADS TO RIDE ON.
PUT ON 1,500 MILES. WAS GONE FOR FIVE DAY'S!!

16 HARLEYS
1 ROADSTAR
1- HONDA VTX 1800
2- BMW'S

BIKE RAN GREAT! 53 MPG ON THE HIGHWAY, HANDEL GREAT ON ALL THE
MT. ROADS (LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE BIKE OVER THIS TIME AWAY)

HERE'S MY QUESTION: I PUT FLOOR BOARD EXT. ON COUPLE YEARS AGO
PER OUR FORUM. LIKE THEM A LOT A LONG WITH ROADKING ENGINE GUARDS
WITH PEGS. EVERY THING WAS OK WITH THE RIDING I DID AT HOME! BUT BEING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 70-80 MPH I HAVE VERY BAD VIBRATION ON THE FLOOR
BOARDS & HIGHWAY PEGS (BAD!)

DO YOU THINK THAT THE VIBRATION IS MOVING UP THE FLOORBOARD EXT.
INTO THE ENGINE GUARD THEN INTO THE PEGS? OR IS THIS JUST THE ROADSTAR
AT THAT SPEED? WAS THINKING OF RE-INSTALLING THE FLOORBOARDS BACK TO
OEM LOCATION THEN TAKE THE BIKE FOR ANOTHER RIDE TO SEE IF THE
VIBRATION IS BETTER OR GONE!

DO YOU THINK IT'S WORTH A TRY OR AM I WASTING MY TIME!!

THANKS

BARTISH
