Reckless 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Ok, so I finally broke down and purchased my Reckless fairing. My plan is to keep my 16" apes on it so, it will be interesting to see how the New Jersey stock roadie virgins handle this Here is my issue i currently have the ET headlight up front and need to know where can i find a deeply discounted full stock headlight set up. If anyone does not know this, if you know which aftermarket headlight is the same size to replace the stock headlight or some other options for me that would be great. My goal is not to have any space in between the headlight and fairing, this way I dont have wind issues pushing the front around.

Also, what can I do to stablelize the front of my bike, once I hig 90 I always get a uncontrollable wobble . I know for certain my tire pressure is currently correct..

Can't wait to see how the bike will look with my apes, ganster fender and new fairing. FYI: My bike is named Steel Serpent

Can't wait to see it! I personally think the fairing bikes look great with apes. There are a few street glides running around here that are NASTY!
For the headlight check eBay or the classifieds here.
For the wobble - how old are your tires? Have you checked the neck bearings?

You need to talk to reckless they prob. have a fairing which uses the small headlight. from what mine looks like they are pretty much the same other than the brackets.

Hey, I have brand new meat on the ground so, I know that's not the issue. I have 26k on the bike and never even knew I had to check the bearing so, you have have a point there. I was thinking there is some type of stabilizer available like the sports bikes.

Also, I love that rear bent down sissy bar, where did you pick it up from?

That is simply a tall factory sissy bar with the pad removed turned backwards.
