On a Stratoliner! The local dealership has a brand new 2008 on the floor - Midnight Strat by the look - marked down to $10,500 - may be time to move LOL!

Going to change and go look . . . I'll be staying in the family!

I'd love to move up right now but I can taste retirement in less than 5 years (35 down). Maybe for an "I'm outta here" gift.

Good luck, those Strats are IMO the ultimate bikes out right now!

$10,500 is a great price! Let us know what it really is after you go see it. If it's for real, buy it before you leave the dealer.
BTW: what do you plan to do with your '06? You may be a 2 bike owner for awhile.

Well - The price was definitely real - $10,500, plus the usual fees. Bike was nice - rode well, plenty of power - it had 2 miles on it!

HOWEVER - they offered me $4300 on my Road*! I laughed at the guy and told him I was done and left. I can't justify 2 bike payments, so I kept my Road* - I have WAY too much time and money invested to only take $4300! Plus, on the ride home, I realized just how much I love my bike - so I think it worked out fine for me.

If anyone is in DFW area - Yamaha Suzuki West has one heckuva sale if you aren't trading anything! The 08 was $10,500, they also had an 09 Strat S (Maroon) for $11,300 ....

Stealers are amazing aren't they?

I've been reading through the forum for the last 3 days as a current Honda Sabre owner who's just arranged to buy an '08 Road Star. I was looking at Stealer deals like a 2008 Kawi Vulcan 1600 for $7500. I offered $6,800, no tax, no prep and wanted $3,500 for my '04 Sabre.

He countered with no discount on the Kawi and only $2,600 on my Sabre. What a joke!

I just sold it for $3,600!

Will be buying a beautiful pearl white '08 with many custom updates. Can't wait for next week!!!!

Will the company be giving the gift? If so where do I send a resume?

You'll be buying the prettiest R* color there is. I was parked at a restaurant seated so I could watch my bike and every body that walked by did a double or triple take. One couple came into the restaurant and asked if they could sit with us. He was driving a Gold wing and the wife and I said sure. He commented on how beautiful "Oso Polar Grande" was. I told him lying through my teeth how nice his "OLD WING" was. We compared this and that between the bikes his more powerful and comfortable. Mine more just a brute bike. I said I like the handling, maneuverability and the nimble feel of the bike. I told him I don't think the bike is a brute, just very well mannered. I love my R* and would not trade for an Old Wing even for a short ride. That's what they were after quick bike swap for a short ride. If a Gold Winger is ready to jump ship for a Road Star You know we got it right!
