A friend of mine had that happen along time ago at work with his bike (hd) while they were painting the buiding. He used his fingernail to get most of the bigger parts off then used goof-off for the rest. Took some time, but it did all come off with out any damage.

The spirits won't hurt the chrome or paint, but I would not use it on the windshield.....or at least test a small spot first...

mineral spirits or laquer thinner should be o.k. on the handle bars, and on the dash chrome if you just put a little bit on a rag and lightly rub the over spray. Don't use any solivent on your wind sheild though. Once the over spray comes off, wash to bike however you normally do it to get all the thinner off.

On chrome or glass, I use 0000 steel wool. Do not use steel wool on plastic or paint though.
On my shields, I use Meguiar's compounds to get scratches and embedded bug remains out, and then use their polishes, or 3M Finesse-it to get it all shiny again. My shields do not have a coating on them, not sure about yours, or how compounds would effect it if it does..

Use Fastwax on the windshield and it may take a few applications but won't hurt the windshield. Use Acetone on the chrome parts just be careful around your paint. BTW Fastwax will take it off the paint as well.

I used laquer thinner on my truck once and didn't hurt a thing. A guy at a body shop said to use a clay bar.

If it's just been recently oversprayed use a "Clay Bar" on everything! I've been doing professional detailing for a while and that is the safest approach before you dig into any harsh chemicals. If that doesn't work, PM me and I will give you a step by step process that will safely remove overspray that's been on there a while.
