I've seen too much leverage snap the head off the bolt. Not a pleasant place to be ! ! !

On that bolt I always use a wrench on each side, pushing and pulling at the same time. Seems to break it loose fairly easy.

First time was tough but now my bolt is nearly worn out from the fender going on and off a bazillion times.

Sometimes I've had luck with placing a punch in the center of the bolt head and give the punch a few whacks with a hammer. Then loosen a little, tighten a little until it frees up. Just my 2 cents. Oh, and Good Luck!

A big impact gun does wonders. If it breaks get a new bolt. At least it is easy to get to.

This is the long bolt that holds the subframe onto the bike frame? Just whack the nut side first with an impact gun or breaker bar first, then break the bolt loose.

Thanks for all help/suggestions. Rode over to a friend with bigger tools than I had and he easily removed the bolt. Probably just needed the longer handle for leverage. Had little time as I was leaving on an 11 day ride from MN to VT on July 2nd.
