Favorite places to ride to!! 4 Years, 11 Months ago
Where've you been on the bike that everybody should ride to.
Here's a few from me (eastcoaster, bear in mind)
1. Jackson hole, Wyoming : a must see
2. The grand canyon: need I say more?
3. Yellowstone Nat. park. Fantastic!

and some honorable mentions;
1. Vegas........................
2. Tombstone , AZ. : exactly what you might picture
3. Deals gap: Worth the trip!

Now , living in Ga., and riding in the south and up north is kinda just where I ride routinely, so I'm not shuning the awesome riding around here, But being on the bike, clicking off mile, and days, and seeing whats out west is simply majestic.

Where has your travels taken you , that you feel no-one on two wheels should miss? Tell us! BB

I guess the early AM rides to the local Sonic for a sausage & egg toaster sandwich and tots, doesn't count, eh?

Actually, right near here the Enchanted Circle ride through Taos is beautiful...and it can be done any day of the week since it's only 40 miles for me to the starting point of the 80-some-mile ride...

NO, local rides are cool too. It's just we're creatures of habit, so going some place out of the way was what I was thinking! BB

TMK, thats what I'm talking about! On #10 Natchez Trace, great ride, but the cops are all over that road (the whole distance) and the speed limit if memory serves is 45(?) and they love pulling bikes over. But your right, that's a great stretch!BB

my favorite place is usually the last one I went to...

at the moment, it would be the Talahina Scenice Drive, that goes through Queen Wilamena State Park. This trail staddles the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. Plenty of twisty roads, scenic overlooks and a great lodge/restaurant at the center point. Very bike friendly folks. Loved the sign at the bottom of the trail that says "Very steep and crooked roads, next 58 miles". I opened the throttle

The places I love to go, is Cherokee, Maggie Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains.
But usually we just get to go to Myrtle Beach SC. That’s because it’s just a short jaunt and we can be home in time for dinner.
Gatlinburg was nice but we spent more time going over the Great Smoky verse hanging out (We camped in Gatlinburg).
The truth be known, any ride is a great ride. Any Day you can spend all of your day Out on your bike is all I need. Even just around the town of Southport and Oak Island NC.

Hands down, the Great PCH1. I've done several coast to coast runs and nothing compares. I'm planning to do it again this summer after not seeing it for 29 years. Used to ride it 3 or so times a summer on the old Guzzi when I was young.
